Hi, Bonjour! I'm Vicki — your bilingual photographer in Embrun.
Photography has been part of my life since I was eight years old. I still remember the excitement of getting my first 35mm camera from McDonald’s—yes, back in the ’80s, they offered little cameras in Happy Meals! That small spark ignited a lifelong passion for capturing the world around me and preserving the moments that make life meaningful.
Before becoming a full-time photographer, I worked in government services helping Ontario residents in need. I also earned a college diploma in social work, which deepened my passion for supporting people and making a positive impact in my community. While I was proud of the work I was doing, I eventually realized something was missing creatively. In 2020, I followed my heart and officially began my journey as a professional photographer.
Today, I combine my love of storytelling with a creative approach that blends natural, artistic, and documentary styles. My goal is to capture genuine emotions, real connections, and the unique beauty of every moment—from weddings and growing families to newborns, milestones, and even the incredible detail found in artistic iris photography. I’m always exploring new ideas, techniques, and tools to continue growing as an artist and to create images that are both meaningful and timeless.
But what truly sets my work apart is the purpose behind it. Photography for me isn’t just about creating beautiful images—it’s about creating something meaningful. Through my Pay It Forward mission, a portion of every session is donated to a charity chosen by my clients, allowing each photograph to help make a difference in someone else’s life.
